Meet the Team
Gill has had a long association, more than 30 years in youth, schools and community work!
She has been full time mum to her own 4 children for 20 of those years – and she believes that parenting is possibly the most challenging task we ever undertake!
During these parenting and volunteering years, she was able to work with local charities and groups to develop and deliver a wide variety of youth & community projects.
This is also where she realised a passion to work alongside those who are the most under privileged and struggling to succeed.
Once back in the workplace full time, Gill has gained professional qualifications in youth work.
Gill is on an exciting learning curve as a new farmer in 2015! She spends down time looking after rescue chickens and pet sheep, on their small piece of Lancashire countryside, with a 36 acre natural woodland to manage to-boot!
Developing Harwes Farm CIC and creating access to the countryside has been a natural progression for her meaning that she not only gets chance to share these beautiful resources, but she can draw on her experiences in youth & community work as well.
Centre-based open provision youth work, detached youth work, music engagement, schools work, children’s clubs, presentations, residential events, project work, indeed all things children and young people.
