Directions to Harwes Farm CIC
At Harwes Farm, we have a unique situation where our postal address differs from the best access route to our farm. To ensure you find us easily and enjoy the magic we have to offer, please follow these directions.

Best Access Route
For the easiest access, use the postcode BB8 7EW. This will bring you to the bottom of the shared tarmac drive with our neighbouring Jerusalem Farm.
- If you're coming up the hill (away from Colne): The access will be on your left.
- If you're coming down the hill (towards Colne): The access will be on your right.
At the bottom of the drive, you'll see a sign for "Jerusalem Farm." Follow this drive, passing their farmhouse. You'll encounter a few speed bumps and a cobbled area before reaching a metal gate.
Navigating the Gate
Please note that the gate has signage saying to keep the gate closed. You may open the gate to access Harwes Farm.
- The gate opens towards you, so leave enough room before getting out of your vehicle to open it.
- If the gate is closed when you arrive, please close it behind you after passing through.
- If the gate is open, leave it as you found it.
Continue up the hill through the gate. Be mindful that the drive goes through an active area where you might encounter farm animals, pedestrians, horse riders, or wildlife, especially during springtime.
You'll cross a cattle grid, and by this point, you should see our two wind turbines, Fred and Ginger, in the front fields. If visibility is poor, keep driving on, and you should reach our farmhouse.
Important Note
When visiting, please call your farm representative on their mobile phone or our landline (01282 798266) to check if any vehicles are coming down the drive. Ensure you do this safely using hands-free technology, pulling over safely, or having a passenger make the call.
Additional Tips
While we've updated Google and Apple Maps for easier navigation, some older SatNav devices may direct you to a row of terrace cottages on Skipton Old Road. If the cottages are on your left, continue uphill. If they're on your right, you've missed the access and need to turn around.
